FORMULATIONS

Here is a brief description of some of the most common formulations and the materials they are most compatible with.  Please call us if you need any additional assistance finding the ideal ribbon for your application.

Wax

For general purpose tag and label printing, wax ribbons offer the most economical choice. They work best for printing on coated and uncoated paper label and tag stocks.

Wax/Resin

These ribbons give the user added durability and smudge resistance.  Wax/Resin ribbons can be used on some polyesters and synthetics, as well as coated and uncoated paper facestocks.

Resin

If your application calls for the higher level of scratch and smudge resistance our premium resin ribbons are a great alternative.  They are made for use in harsh environments and work well with a large variety of synthetic materials currently on the market.
